John Curry: Annual deduction comparison between STRS and OPERS

Some have asked about a comparison between STRS and OPERS concerning the annual deductible for retirees' doctor visits in both systems. They will be listed below along with the annual deductible of STRS associates (thanks to Damon for furnishing me with the info re. associates). These are all 2005 figures. John

STRS retiree annual deductible (in network physicians) $500 per person

OPERS retiree annual deductible (in network physicians) $150 per person

STRS associate (employee) deductible (in network physicians) $0
STRS associate (employee) deductible (out of network physicians) $300 per person
